2026 Junior Royals and Junior Tigers Rec+ Cheer

Mudsock Youth Cheer is pleased to offer 5th and 6th-graders the opportunity to join Junior Royals and Junior Tigers, our Rec+ Cheer division. This program is a step up from our traditional sideline rec program. It is not an all-star or competitive cheer program. Rec+ focuses on expanding cheer skills such as motions, jumps, stunts, and performance within a fun, team-oriented, recreational setting.

Two teams will be formed through tryouts and assigned based on each participant’s intermediate school district. Junior Royals team members will be selected from individuals districted to Hamilton Southeastern Intermediate Junior High (HIJH) and Fall Creek Intermediate School. Junior Tigers will be selected from individuals districted to Riverside Intermediate and Sand Creek Intermediate School. Teams will cheer for the Junior Royals and Junior Tigers travel football teams.

Athletes will learn and perform cheers, stunts, and routines at their assigned team’s travel football games. Some travel within the greater Indianapolis area may be required. The season will run from July to November.

Upon placement on a team, parents must confirm that their athlete will attend at least 80 percent of all practices and games. If this level of commitment is not possible due to other activities, we ask that families refrain from trying out. Athletes who do not meet the attendance requirement may be dismissed from the team. Team member absences will be excused for medical, religious, or school-required activities.

Coaches will be selected through an interview process. All athletes will attend a two-day clinic to learn the skills that will be evaluated during tryouts. Clinic and tryout dates will be announced soon.
